Why Do We Practice Yoga?

Practice “Deep stretch, relax and breath class” in the monthly membership for WHY.

Why do we keep coming back to yoga class for practice?  Many reasons keep us going.

Yoga as a lifelong practice.

Yoga is more than stretching and meditation, it is also about finding strength within.  Learning discipline to keep going.  Opening new ways to embrace your true self and work with yourself and not against yourself.  Finding a daily meditation practice that will support you from within.   “Everything you need is already within you.” Sonia Sumar, Yoga for the Special Child.

Benefits of Yoga practice.

During this class, you will begin to feel the benefits for yourself.  You can start to explore balance, focus and strength that you’re building while in the poses. During the breathing practice you will experience energy and self-awareness. Sit in meditation and start to listen to your voice. Each time you practice, you will begin to become more aware of the benefits..  After class, a student told me, “Please add this class to the membership.” She told me that she uses videos from our yoga classes every day.  She picks a video that works on things she wants to focus on within her body.  “If I wake with sore hips I choose to work on a video for hips.  It seems simple to me. I  think about what I need to focus on and then pick a video to practice with from the membership.”

This is Why We Practice Yoga

To experience yoga for yourself don’t miss this week’s class recording.  It is deep releasing stretches using a yoga strap to support leg and back stretches. This is a perfect example of why we practice yoga.

The poses will focus on relief for low back pain by starting with stretching the legs.  During the class we incorporate an even breath for mental and emotional balance.

I designed this practice with poses to stretch and relax your body with a focus on relieving lower back pain. To balance and relax your nervous system we will practice a focused even breath. This breath is a tool for living that is essential for living in our fast paced world.
